Features and benefits:

  • Save time – 3G VMC data cards come with special software that’s easy to use and fits in with all the most popular applications.

  • No annoying interruptions – The 3G VMC data card offers seamless switching, so when customers move out of 3G coverage they’re automatically switched to GPRS. Customers stay connected without having to do anything. If they move back into 3G coverage, there is a seamless handover back to 3G from GPRS.

  • Automatic and optional updates – Dashboard software automatically checks for and incorporates certain software updates e.g. configuration updates so customers don’t have to do a thing. Other actions, such as upgrades, can be done at the customer’s choosing. Checks are done once a month.

  • Choice of speed – A choice of connections to fit the way customers work and the places they usually go.

Technical requirements
The recommended system requirements are:

PC User
  • Windows 2000 Pro (SP2), Windows XP Home (SP1), Windows XP Pro (SP1) or higher

  • Type II PC card slot with Cardbus interface

  • Free hard disk space – 50 MB minimum, 100 MB recommended

  • Memory – 32 MB RAM minimum, 64 MB RAM recommended


    • Why upgrade?
    The new 3G/GPRS data card offers all the benefits of your existing card and the familiar Dashboard interface, but with faster data speeds in 3G areas.

    On the move  
    • By default , VMC will perform at ‘3G preferred profile’ – data card will automatically select 3G

    • 3G to GPRS – barely noticeable handover – speed change!

    • Customers may also manually change to ‘GPRS only’ or ‘3G only’ profile if desired using the options on the dashboard

    • GPRS back to 3G – Will hand back automatically to 3G if user re–enters 3G coverage area.


      • Coverage and roaming
      Our 3G network currently covers metropolitan areas in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, all major international airports in Australia and is constantly expanding. When you travel outside 3G areas, our GPRS network will cover 92% of the places you live and work in Australia. When you are working within the 3G coverage, you will experience much faster access and download speeds.
